Job Summary

Sandbox International, a Madison-based qualitative marketing research firm, is seeking creative and talented Senior Software Developers / Software Engineers to be a part of our growing team. Sandbox is looking for development gurus to join us in our quest to build a web application for our Fortune 500 consumer products clients and other large clients within the marketing industry. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

• Defining requirements
• Managing a rapid and iterative application development process
• Assisting in the software coding and development
• Researching the user experience and creating the interface design
• Creating prototypes
• Collaborating with a team of software developers

Requirements

• BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Management, CIS or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience writing web-based applications (or proven experience doing something groundbreaking in less time)
• Experience with MySQL and Linux
• Excellent understanding and ability to code in front end technologies like (X)HTML, Javascript and CSS
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility in an entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced and creative environment
• Outstanding problem-solving ability
• Commitment to extremely high-quality work
• Ability to have fun
• Experience with Interaction Design or user-centered design is a plus.
• Knowledge of Flash, Flex and Ajax is a plus

Location

Our creative loft offices are located in the historic Gisholt Machine factory in Madison. It would be helpful if you were located within an hour radius of Madison.
